TBS’s face of comedy Conan O’Brien has been assured two more years at what O’Brien fondly describes as a basic cable network.

He is guaranteed a spot for his talk show at 11 p.m. until at least April, 2014. O’Brien joined TBS in November 2010 after a tumultuously brief stay on “The Tonight Show” on NBC. Team CoCo rallied around him after NBC ousted him and he happily landed on TBS.

Though ratings weren’t quite as large as TBS executives had hoped, they have touted the youth of his audience (average age: 32) and how he was able to parlay his appeal through social media, mobile, DVR and online in general. (With 5 million, he has more Twitter followers than any other late-night host.) And ratings are up lately, partly thanks to a stronger 10 p.m. lead in three nights a week: “The Big Bang Theory.”

The National Enquirer refuses to let Whitney Houston rest in peace.

The latest issue of this notorious tabloids screams “WHITNEY: THE LAST PHOTO!” and purports to depict a picture of the late singer in her casket.

It was allegedly taken inside Whigham Funeral Home in Newark, New Jersey on Saturday and shows a woman wearing a dark dress, with “Nippy” (Houston’s nickname), along with two treble clefs, written in blue script on the lining of the casket cover.

The image – blurred out above – has invoked outrage across the Internet, with Sarah Anne Hughes of The Washington Post referring to it as “shocking and disturbing.”

A similar uproar took place in July 2009 when a British tabloid covered an issue with a photo of a dying Michael Jackson being wheeled out on a stretcher.

For folks familiar with the spoilers online, this will be an impressively non-suspenseful evening but even then, it’ll be interesting to glean why the judges picked some folks and not others. (There is at least one major shocker in my mind.)

The Bachelor contestant Courtney Robertson may not be a fan favorite.

That’s the understatement of all time, actually, but her ex-boyfriend, Cavan Clark says that in real life, she’s different from how she appears on the series.

Cavan says that “unlike what you see on the show, she’s actually a nice girl, and getting a bad rap” based on the show’s editing and media coverage.

Not sure how a 53-minute trash talk montage can be explained away, but good to hear! Seriously though. 53 minutes, not including Monday’s episode:

“I still keep in touch with Courtney,” he adds. “We dated, and after it ended she went on The Bachelor. Life happens; people fall in love and people break up.”

The two met and fell in love while Courtney Robertson, 28, was modeling for one of the fashion lines Cavan Clark, a 36-year-old photographer, shoots for.

He does say Courtney is doing everything in her power to get the final rose … and reading between the lines, that she might not be motivated by love.

“She’s obviously doing everything she can to win this, seeing that it is a reality dating competition,” he says of one of Ben Flajnik’s final three women.

If The Bachelor spoilers we’ve compiled are to be believed, she may very well be one of the final two standing this season … we’ll have to wait and see.

Aside from Cavan, she dated Jim Toth, before he married Reese Witherspoon, Entourage‘s Adrian Grenier and Desperate Housewives’ Jesse Metcalfe.

Clearly #winning a lot on the Hollywood dating scene.

Pilar Sanders and retired football legend Deion Sanders and engaged in an epic divorce battle, and the former just upped the antagonistic ante. BIG TIME.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, Pilar is suing Deion – for $ 200 million. The lawsuit stems from the Twitter rant of Deion’s daughter (from another relationship) Deiondra, in which the teenager accused Pilar of cheating on her father and referred to her as a “gold diggin hoe.”

In these court papers, Pilar effectively responds with: Oh yeah? Well you made me that way!

Pilar’s attorney writes that his client believes Deiondra and Deion have been going after her with various “emotional weapons” for years… including “dominance, humiliation, isolation, threats, intimidation, denial and blame.”

The suit reads: “[Deion and Deiondra] even persuaded [Pilar] that she was and is worthless, a ‘gold diggin’ ho, and that no one else would want her.”

Moreover, Pilar makes the assertion that father and daughter would scatter various weapons around the house and would try to scare her away by “hurting pets.” No details regarding this accusation are provided.

With divorce proceedings underway between the pair, Pilar is demanding $ 50 million in actual damages and $ 150 million in punitive damages.

On his late-night comedy show, Jon Stewart (or one of his writers) last week noticed Atlanta-based CNN weekend anchor Don Lemon making a mockery of a story he had to report about Harry Potter. Specifically, someone had created faux estimates of how much it would cost to attend the fictional Hogwarts School in the Potter books and films.

After a reporter noted the “cost,” Lemon uttered, “Okay. I say it costs zero because it doesn’t exist.”

“There you go,” the reporter responded.

Lemon laughed. “I could have done the calculation for you right at the top. It is interesting though.”

“You see that?” Stewart noted. “His half-hearted last-minute effort to feign that he cares at all what that woman says? That’s not just casual anchor banter my friends, that’s a call for help as we explore in our new segment, ‘CNN anchor Don Lemon appears not to care for CNN.’ ”
